given 'two hours' (these so called fair warnings are bullshit regardless) to evacuate a hospital without power that is full of people who are critically injured. sick, rotten genocidal humiliation
We’re sitting here watching a genocide about to take place in real time, probably the most we’ve ever known about one as it happens. And we’re facilitating it. Never want to hear any liberal say anything along the lines of “I know what I would’ve done under the Nazis/slavery/etc”. Yes it’s very clear what you would have done and it’s not what you think it is. 20 years from now people will be shedding crocodile tears about how we didn’t stop this when there has been every opportunity to do so and everyone’s just rolling out the red carpet for it. I have never seen reality turned upside down so systematically like this. Don’t want to hear anything about hostages either there’s been 2.3 million hostages in Gaza for 17 years.
Damn.
What are you seeing on them?
In Tel Aviv people are out partying, normal city life events, social gatherings etc
In Gaza it’s just straight bodies being wheeled in and out of hospitals, air strikes, rubble
Not sure if I should be sharing here but a friend of mine in the US army seems to think they are being deployed to a nearby country over the coming weeks
Will they now claim every person in Gaza they shot was a Hamas because they couldnt evacuate on time?
State department urging U.S. diplomats to avoid any talk of peace or deescalation
Some world power we have here. Every violent conflict and they’re always the ones who are scared of ceasefire calls
https://twitter.com/akbarsahmed/status/1712860751193403683US really should be held highly responsible for Israel actions given they tacitly give permission through funding
Will they now claim every person in Gaza they shot was a Hamas because they couldnt evacuate on time?
As long as reporters on the ground corroborate, it won’t matter how many people point cameras at dead kids
This shot is crazy
Honestly what is the solution here?
There is none its too late
US really should be held highly responsible for Israel actions given they tacitly give permission through funding
How will they be held responsible?
This is gonna get ugly & whats gut wrenching is we can’t do anything about it which pisses me off even more…

Someone on tiktok took a screen recording of the snapchat globe feature where you can look at snap stories tagged under israel and snap stories tagged under palestine. I’m out rn but I encourage someone to find it on twitter or something and post it ITT

Yes
Why is Egypt keeping the border closed btw?

Ah that's also why the Muslim Brotherhood was forbidden right?

By who ? All of EU agrees with the US and Russia is in a losing war so that legit leaves no one to support Gaza at all
No, I’m arguing that people (specifically the pro-Israelis on Reddit) continue to argue that the UN resolution was somehow a rightful division of land between Israel and Palestine
The agency of the local population was usurped by a coalition of foreign nations pushing their own sociopolitical agenda
It’s ridiculous
I suspect you think there is, in fact, no rightful division of land between Israel and Palestine (me as well, although of course I think the real outrage committed by the British was when they fomented Arab Revolt and destroyed the Ottoman Empire in the Near East), the problem is that even by 1945, ~30% (and for obvious reasons, growing) of the population thought that there must be a division of the land and was willing to use violence to achieve its goals (similar scenario to how Partition came about in India). We can say Partition (in both Palestine and India) was a mistake in hindsight, but, for this reason, at the time, it seemed like a good way to reduce bloodshed. To be frank, I'm not sure what exactly my fellow Redditors are saying, but I imagine and hope the point they're trying to get at is not that the 1948 plan was amazing, but that it's better than what has come since.
I would take a stronger stand against the idea that the main agents in 1948 were foreign powers... the Zionists exercised agency in forcing the State of Israel to be on the table (and bringing the West along for the ride), and the Palestinians exercised agency in rejecting the plan (and bringing the Arab states along for the ride). An interesting point is that the Soviet Union voted in favor of the plan, while Britain abstained. Zionists also fought an armed insurgency against the British, so I don't see Israel as an Anglo-American creation, nor do I think Hamas or Hezbollah are directed from Tehran... in fact, I would say that local actors are almost always the ones who put events into motion and force the "Great Powers" in Washington or London or Moscow to react, we see this as well with start of the Donbas War in 2014.

More specifically, Hamas is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, which the Egyptian military junta deposed
