He was, he said on formspring he didn’t care to listen to it. he basically went out of his way to not listen to Kendrick for years then became a super fan when he finally did
Im pretty sure he prefers DAMN. and Mr Morale to GKMC and TPAB though
I imagine LUST and PRIDE is what finally convinced him. Maybe DNA, FEAR and DUCKWORTH too because he knows his rap. He real for showing Savior love when Morale dropped, still my favorite off that album

I remember when DAMN. came out he said he was in love w XXX and LUST
Although we do hear the sirens at the end, I still believe the writers want to leave things somewhat ambiguous.
I mean earlier in the episode Darius gets pulled over by the police, so that does establish that hearing a siren doesn't necessarily mean he isn't dreaming
what sirens do y’all hear? I keep hearing this but when I rewatch the episode, I don’t hear any. just the music and the tv
Maybe the true takeaway is: wether it was a dream or not, Darius is finally happy.
thissss
Well he thought he was dreaming so he was doing whatever tf he wanted lol
it wasn’t that spontaneous though. he rushed them out like he legit knew they were all in danger
Mf you made me question it.
Yeah he's in the tank
They make you want to say he's not so the last time you see these characters isn't just in a dream.
agreed
I also think his smile at the end represents him knowing they’re not there but that it’s okay anyway bc he still values the love they have for him and the time they spent together. he’s basically an audience surrogate realizing that the show is finally over and making peace with it
If it was a dream, there would be no reason for him to smile imo.
yes there is
1) he’s not going to jail
2) he’s content with everyone’s absence and learning to move on and let go
Ppl tend to forget Darius is very intuitive. I don’t think “BUT HE DROVE A PINK CAR AND PUNCHED THE SUSHI GUYS” is good enough evidence to prove he’s “dreaming”…it’s kinda funny that THATS what ppl are running with
Darius is not that intuitive fam. if he was, Teddy Perkins would have never happened lol
have there been any other scenes w all 4 like that?
I was relieved to get happy endings on all 4 characters. a show this unpredictable could have gone real sour for the finale
Season 2 - Money Bag Shawty when they go to the strip club
Season 3 - The Old Man and the Tree when they pull up at Nando’s party
I still gotta do a full rewatch, but alligator man might be the best episode. Crank dat killer also up there
One thing I felt like that got repetive during the series is when a character have a monologue explaining the weirdness of whatever was going on and the viewer had to interpret it as something that relates to African American culture. If they could have done that in different ways the show would have been better. But that’s my only complain it’s not a huge complaint I loved the show
My ranking
1
2
4
3
Easily. Not even a question.
The spectacle in season 2 is better, but the dialogue and characters mattered more in the first season.
Plus the fact that the story no longer matters after season 2 makes this feel like a 2 season show.
It's weird that they never got any actual criticism from that.
It can be surreal and have one off episodes without completely abandoning an overall narrative. And it's clear there was some sort of one in the first 2 seasons.
The last 2 seasons straight up them just existing. They have nothing to strive for.
Which is fine but it makes the show feel a bit disjointed overall
I feel like I was expecting the show to get weirder and abandon narrative more but not in the way they did
niggas on thecoli saying Popeyes is Dave and the black sushi restaurant is Atlanta. and Donald is the trained black chef making the sushi with his bare hands for our ungrateful asses
this show’s online discourse is top-tier. Reddit going off too
Cap
Cap
what’s the cap?
the theory I came across?
or the show’s online discourse being great?
if it’s the first, i kinda agree. if it’s the second, nah fam
what sirens do y’all hear? I keep hearing this but when I rewatch the episode, I don’t hear any. just the music and the tv
use subtitles.
You'll start catching things in movies and shows that you've never noticed before if you start watching everything with subtitles
overall thought the season was amazing and pulled off emotional moments with the characters I didn't expect (camping episode), as well as used the trademark surreally realistic world in rly brilliant ways, last episode was a bit random though.
still incredible series and very sad it might be the end. I'd rank seasons 3,4,2,1 tbh

Might? It’s gone man just let it go

gonna get hate for that ranking, but I think I agree.
Darius is not that intuitive fam. if he was, Teddy Perkins would have never happened lol
Maybe it didn't
And there's definitely sirens, they're there for just a few seconds when Darius leans forward
Might? It’s gone man just let it go
wouldn't be the first time an announced "retirement" was later scrapped tbh, this series has a very unique world and style I feel like it's such a well-oiled solid setup that I can def see them wanting to go back to it after all somewhere down the line.
but also if they do indeed never return to it they rly brought it to the next level for these two seasons and made some of the best tv ever and I'm extremely content with what they've achieved.
