Easily. Not even a question.
The spectacle in season 2 is better, but the dialogue and characters mattered more in the first season.

Plus the fact that the story no longer matters after season 2 makes this feel like a 2 season show.

It's weird that they never got any actual criticism from that.

It can be surreal and have one off episodes without completely abandoning an overall narrative. And it's clear there was some sort of one in the first 2 seasons.

The last 2 seasons straight up them just existing. They have nothing to strive for.

Which is fine but it makes the show feel a bit disjointed overall

Everyone says S3 finale but it has to be Helen for me. At least tarrare was interesting to watch. I don’t even remember what happened in Helen

That doesn’t really happen, it’s near impossible to drown because the salt water makes you float and it’s only a couple inches of water
