Ok so thinking back to the first episode .
Darius had deja vu...you think maybe that was a moment he had already experienced in the tank ???

I assume it’s deja vu Bc it’s meta about it being an episode of a show so you can replay it whenever thus causing deja vu if we going off the show is in Darius mind theory

  • Beautiful ending to a beautiful show

Definitely leaves me wanting more which is always better than overstaying your welcome

  • Just how Atlanta needed to end. With a Pulp Fiction-esque suitcase to cliffhang the show. I f***ing loved it. And these last 4 episodes were in the highest caliber the show has ever made.

I really am gonna miss this show. It honestly will be cemented as a top 10 show for me of all time. It was such a pleasure to watch, and live through.

Everybody's dreams came true. Alfred is a success. Earn and Van and Lottie are a family unit. Darius has friends and support and love. The episode played with the line between reality and dream because that's what their lives have become

Nah that was cus the very beginning of the episode was foreshadowing to the situation they were in

Wait what do you mean by foreshadowing ?
The first scene is when the gunshot happens

Yeah but iirc the gunshot part happens at the beginning, then the rest of the episode happens and it shows how they ended up there. THEN when they show it again, darius says he had deja vu. seemed like a meta-reference to how weird and spiritual Darius is, i could be wrong tho

Nah the deja vu part happens in the first scene. It's our very first introduction to Darius

At the moment I'm not thinking it was all a dream tbh.
But look at this quote from Hiro from last month, GQ asked what he thinks the visual aesthetic for Atlanta was and this was his answer

"When you're in a dream everything feels real in the moment....wake up, that was a dream"

It definitely seems like the showrunners intentionally want to blur the lines between dreams and reality .
Which leaves the audience wondering what tf was real and what wasn't.
They want us to comb back through the series and question everything

    Inception.

You have to earn (no pun intended) an ending like that which would give credence for that type of ending. Yes, weird s*** happened throughout, but we've never seen hints that this was all Darius imagining s***. Was just a undeserved copout way to end to seem more deep than it was.

This episode was everything Atlanta encapsulated in one episode. Dark & absurd humour, social commentary and a hint of Twin Peaks. I was really hoping they didn't show Judge Judy and give away the answer. The use of the police siren and Darius' expression was genius. Fitting ending for a show with no substantial ending in sight.

Also, if anyone cares to learn more about that exclusive Japanese sushi spot in a subway station the owner was talking about, check out Jiro Dreams of Sushi, an interesting documentary on the chef and the process behind his craft.

    It wasn’t all a dream

Darius smiled when he saw Judge Judy wasnt thick and the police came about the car

    Watch the damn show man
