I’m far from an old man but i could heavily relate to Earn’s dad’s fear of the busy mall. i hate being alone in crowded public spaces like that

Last year I had to go to my mall’s Apple store last year on a busy ass Saturday bc my phone was f***ed up. and I seriously had an anxiety attack at all the commotion. i had to take a breather in the bathroom to get it together lol

    mr get dough

Really? Episode 2 is one of the funniest episodes of the entire show but also gives a lot of understanding of Earn’s character. Episode 3 was just f***ing hilarious but also showed a lot of s*** that be going on the industry

Episode 1 was really good but I am not as big of a fan when they include the sci fi elements, and Episode 4 was hilarious and very relatable but didn’t do as much for the plot of the season so thats why I ranked how I did but I do like all 4 episodes a lot

Oh s*** for some reason I saw the numbers and thought you were ranking seasons my bad

Whew this episode was too real. Messy ass light skin auntie/cousin/sibling with victim mentality, trying to enjoy the mall before the kids get there, trying to monopolize the elder of the family in their later years, you g niggas f***ing with the OG, Redbox. This a BLACK ass episode

Explain this. Because my interpretation is that it's foreshadowing for the Walter to Heisenberg change

The fire appearing almost inside Walt from the framing, and Walt doing nothing to me foreshadows that Walt already has serious/significant issues with pride, as well as a darker aggressive side that he's not able to express.

The first time he ever does a criminal thing, he literally comes home and bangs his wife to her excitement and shock.

He absolutely changes, but I think that scene (and the first episode especially) shows that the core of Heisenberg is there from the very beginning. It's not an unrecognizable change, it's Walt finally getting to express and do what he's wanted to do from the very beginning.

I agree that Heisenberg was always somewhere in there but I still think there comes a point where Walt "breaks bad". The cancer diagnosis probably allowed that part of him to be free. It's similar to Earn actually, he probably had this spiteful part of him that wanted to get back at people who wronged him like Sasha. But now because he has money and resources, he can actually act on that desire

That’s what makes it genius and believable tho. Like most people when they do a major change, it’s usually towards something they’ve always had buried inside themselves.

Idk when it comes to BB imo nobody can argue the character work that went into Walter white, screenwriting classes always use Walter and Tony as examples when breaking down complex characters.

That clip literally proves that Walter White is Heisenberg from the beginning my guy.

You’re missing the point. Walter white was a push over and let his students walk all over him. Whereas Heisenberg wouldn’t allow that disrespect.

Yes Heisenberg is who Walter WISHED he could be from day 1 but then finally gets to transform into him.

But bro is still 100% right. Walter white and Heisenberg are two different people, even tho Heisenberg always existed inside Walter.

  • Oct 3, 2022

Walter white - an innocent man, pushover who’s tryna live the right way but has a darkness inside him from putting up with everything and being fed up.

Heisenberg- A man who puts up with no s*** and will kill someone who messes with his business, but has a lightness inside him stemming from who he naturally is and wishes things could be normal again.

That’s a dope transformation that always presents an internal conflict that’s true to who Walter is.

Yea the ending will be divisive for sure. I already know we'll be the discussing the ending for years to come
