It’s an anthological episode, of course it didn’t lead up to anything….. have you been watching the season? Lmao
i meant the episode in particular didn't lead up to anything.
Other ones like the one about the adopted kids, the one about reparations etc they did at least go somewhere
this one just felt flat
The more I think about it, the more I like this episode
It had a lot of heart. And it spoke on how welcoming and nurturing black cultures can be, while the whole time the white parents were talking down about Slyvia and her whole culture even after she was dead
Also showed how children arent born prejudice. And luckily the kid was raised to respect those cultures instead of being like the parents and being ignorant
when did they talk down on her?

The dad was pretty open from the jump, he dove right in to the spicy mango sauce 😂 mom had to be a b**** for the daughter's speech at the funeral to have the impact on her that it did.
when did they talk down on her?
Bash mourning while his parents talking bout what new nanny they should get, or talkin bout Sylvia was pretty old, or that mom talking "it's like we're in the islands" with a tone when they was driving to the funeral.
Lil man acted his ASS off
that funeral scene literally made me go from tears of sadness
to tears of laughter with Chet's ass
I’m glad he did end up opening it
It was probably that crazy daughter dropping it off way they was knocking and running towards the end 😭🤣
Don and Chet are so funny for that. And Chet being there serves as a double entendre: he's the white parents ultimate nightmare, white guy fully immersed in this black island culture. But also he himself was raised by rich parents. I've got to believe part of why he signed on is because he could relate to the kid not really knowing his parents at a young age

I read that it could've been Sylvia's spirit, keeping with the sometimes supernatural theme of the show. And apparently that was also supposed to be her spirit in the chair comforting Bash
when did they talk down on her?
Also when they were talking about their dialect saying they can't understand them.
And then immediately after suggests to the husband that they should find a babysitter that speaks Mandarin
Not a fan of comedy mixed with horror. This ep could’ve been done without the “horror” element. Also, is this Donald Glovers Atlanta or Jordan Peele’s

Show has had a sort of supernatural vibe throughout tho
I thought it was obviously the daughter Princess?

I want to say Sylvia's spirit delivered the package and was in the chair when Bash said goodnight Sylvia
f*** he on
So glad Charlie Heat finally chimed in with his 2 cents

That was my thought too, but I ain’t wanna be too superstitious
Like “here, look how close me and your son are”
Then she goes to sit in the chair with the lil boy at night
