now that the election’s over, the DA doesn’t need to keep up this hard stance about the case, so it’s come to light that they don’t have enough on YSL to keep everyone locked up, and that’s why people have been coming home

think about it like this. if it was real snitching they would have received a normal plea deal, plea to a lesser charge in exchange for cooperation.

they didn’t get that. they got Alford Pleas. they didn’t have to plea guilty to anything. they just had to state in court ‘Yes’ while the DA lists some statements agreed upon by the lawyers.

if they were really snitching, why wouldn’t the state just do it the first way and make a charge stick? why even do the Alford Plea? bc they couldn’t get any useful info outta these guys and Alford Plea was the best they could get out of them.

the whole snitching thing is semantics at this point. the case thugs defense was making is that YSL is not a gang. gunna is on video stating that it is a gang and he's obligated to testify if need be. gunna also stating the d**** and guns found in the car isn't his (which is dry snitching). forces thugs defense to take it to trial or plea out. other members that took pleas have also substantiated these claims of ysl being a gang. who knows what info has been given up behind the scenes

no. Gunna says ‘Yes’ in court to a question/statement posed by the DA as a formal stipulation of the Alford Plea to be released from jail and avoid trial. it is a formality. i’m not sure how to get ppl to understand that.

have you ever seen The Staircase? real case. man maybe kills his wife. the state eventually decides they can’t prove the case. they give the man an Alford Plea. he has to state in court that he’s responsible for his wife’s death or sthg like that. and he goes free, avoiding trial.

if info was given up, they would have played this entirely differently and not done the Alford Plea. lol think critically man. if Gunna, etc. had told them, yeah I know about a murder or d**** or anything serious, they’d still have him in jail where he’s safe and they’d be prepping him to testify. there’d be no need for an Alford.

the ppl who are ratting did not take Alford pleas. it’s that simple. they’re ppl with more serious charges who plead down.
