Holy s***, Biden's national average on 538 jumped from +7 to +7.6 in a day. I'm not sure how much of that can be attributed to the debate, the tax returns, or both. YouGov has Biden's lead jumping from +5 a couple weeks ago to +8.

If you want to call polls meaningless, that's cool, but early signs are definitely not that Trump benefited from the debate.

Absolutely. I’ve been saying the white supremacist question could’ve been spun so hard in his favor lol.

Answer by saying you’ve always disavowed it (I refused endorsements of white supremacists in 2016). Then explain that the “very fine people” remark was fake news (attack Joe and the media simultaneously, while disproving a major low point in his presidency).

Talk about how you just announced your plan for black America that designates the KKK as a terrorist group (call out joe for not doing it in 47 years). Discuss how the plan increases funding by half a trillion in black communities and how you reversed the crime reform bill that Joe passed.

Then bring up that the plan also designated Antifa as a terrorist group. Claim that democrats won’t push through half a trillion to black voters because they don’t want to call Antifa terrorists and “lose the left”. Then demand that Biden disavow Antifa right on the spot.

That answer would’ve won the debate for Trump lmao. It would make democrats look uncaring and only political, would take a lot out of steam out of the white supremacist stuff, would highlight his plan for black America, and would force Joe to take a stance on Antifa.

But nah, he’s just gonna refuse to disavow white supremacists instead

Yea Trump could have hit Joe with some easy counters on just about everything lol.

He could have focused more on black unemployment being at in all time low and how the economy and stock market could benefit entrepreneurship and small businesses from minority communities. How in "Biden's America" (democratic cities) small businesses were wrecked by riots and told owners these are "peaceful protests". I still cant believe Trump missed that easy layup with the "You Aint Black" line after Biden's words about racial sensitivity smh. Mention the families of murder victims in Chicago who get no help from democratic government, etc.

and yes the white supremacist question was a super easy one too haha..

I do believe Chris Wallace was an awful moderator not only with controlling the debate but with the questions he asked Biden and Trump.. Brett Baier would have been a much better choice and more neutral.

Nah, polls are taken over 3-5 days, and usually not released for a couple after that, so none of the polls coming out today would be factoring in the debates to a significant degree yet. You'd have to watch the polls 4-6 days from now
