You know what you get in 99% of games including this one when it's on hard mode?

You get even more bullet sponges. Enemies health bars are larger. You suddenly hit like a lil b**** instead of being this mighty warrior you're supposed to be.

The bosses dont do anything different or mind blowing or change strategies. You're just making the game longer and less enjoyable for yourself

See but thats the thing. I atleast want the option for the grindy bullet sponge mode instead of just every battle being a mindnumbingly easy 10 seconds where I can press three buttons and I've already killed three npcs, and the boss ai is f***ing ed

Honestly after playing the Barrett section I could really play a spin off Barrett game

Except the bosses in this game have different movesets and you need different strategies to beat them

that one item you can only get in hard mode that won't be useful cause you've already finished everything in the game

hard mode wasn't really that pressing til chapter 9, F*** hell house took forever to beat and now i'm not looking forward to the other bosses. I gotta couple more trophies to get and the fact they're hard mode only making that platinum look not so good

My main critique of this game is that the saving is ass.

I just had a powercut and lost 2 hours of progress just because the game decides side quests aren’t important enough to auto save
