Playing FFX for first time
first FF game
nearing the end, it was beautiful

got 7 remake and 7 rebirth so i'm onto those next.
were 11 or 12 good 10 follow ups? excited to go onto the remakes but this kinda got me fiending for more turn based ngl

11 is an mmo and i'm not sure if still active.
12 is great, but pretty different from 10 so if you're looking for that specific vibe it might not be a great option
10 was kind of a culmination of yoshinori kitase's time on ff - if you're interested in exploring his work ff6, 7, and 8 are all directed by him and have great stories

Finally playing Remake ... On chapter 5 right now and loving it so far
The first ones good. I liked the sequel much more and I think ill like this final one even more.

Im very happy so far its different enough to feel fresh and exciting while keeping the fundamentals in a satisfying way
The fan service is working on me hah but it just feels amazing to see this world so alive and detailed
Just started VII Remake, my first FF game. Think I'm on Chapter 3, about 5 hours in
Dunkey wasn't lying when he made a video about this game, the anime sighs/grunts are so overdone and annoying
Tifa is also so animated and over the top with her leaning forward and random movements while she's speaking. I'm fast forwarding through most of these conversations/cutscenes because they waste so much time. Might just be a Japanese thing, I remember doing the same in Persona 5
Gameplay is great but my brain is struggling with the Guard mechanic. In most games that play like this, guarding cancels your attack so you can completely avoid damage but it's like this game still wants you to take damage even when you guard, just less. So your attack animation continues even if you press Guard. It's like it plays like an action game but still holds onto concepts of a turn based RPG. Not saying that's a flaw of the game, but I can't get this down and I lose at least a quarter of my health bar during every fight
Art looks kingdom hearts as f***
dead or alive would never hold back on sexy cloud or skimpy aerith due to ethics

Just started rebirth and wow they really start this one out strong... Wasnt completely in love with Remake but it had some great stuff going for it and i hope this one builds up on those
I genuinely feel like Revelations could be a 96 Metacritic, one-of-the-greatest-JRPGS-ever-made tier title if they pull it off.
Wow rebirth is actually so much better than remake its day and night
I was very surprised hiw much better it was lol.
I never played the og 7. But I played remake and thought it was just alright. Rebirth is a legitimately good ass game though

Yeah remake is really just decent, doesnt do anything awful but doesn't really do anything amazing either (mostly, there are some great moments here and there), i got most of my enjoyment out of it from being a ff7 og megafan really
But rebirth gives me that + an actually super fun experience i love it
One thing i really like is how it manages to break up the monotony by just throwing a s*** ton of minigames or unique gameplay scenarios at you its great , and i also like the open world exploration even if it feels a bit like going through a checklist (which ill admit i like doing)
