Honestly who cares if it "feels like Final Fantasy" is the game that you are playing in front of you fun or not?
Is it a good game or not???
People d*** riding hard as hell and i love this game a lot so far . Like damn just cause they said “this is how things will be” doesn’t mean you have to like it . People mad at people for disliking s*** just cause the expectation was set . A game can be amazing and still be criticized
All the guy said was don't be fake shocked. He didn't say don't have an opinion...
If I know some s*** prior to a purchase, it probably wouldn't be a talking point for me considering I knew it in advance and gave them my money anyway.
Lol that's just me though
This isn't really a spoiler since we all know this is going to be a boss fight but the Bahamut boss fight is by far the craziest s*** they have ever done in a FF game

I can’t wait to see it, I thought Titan lost was insane

I have no idea how they topped that but they did
Don’t get me wrong, FF7 remake is more my cup of tea because of the party system, and I enjoy that more than this but I also went in knowing it wouldn’t have the same type of situation. So if the game loss points for not being something people wanted then that can be considered unfair criticism by having expectations for something it wasn’t trying to be like.
Agreed and to your other comment a bad expectation can play a big role into someone’s disappointment. So knowing ahead of time can help have a better gauge of what you’re getting into . It’s just an interesting issue cause no one knows how lacking or great something will be until they get their hands on it. I guess the issue some people may have is it’s impossible not to compare when certain systems are still in the game from past games but extremely stripped down .

Just about to do the Titan one. REALLY been looking forward to Bahamut and Odin because of obvious reasons lol. I NEED to equip them bro

I believe you, they put a lot of development into the theatrical boss battles lol

My issue is less his specific comment and more that this is the set defense for any criticism towards the game with all the online discourse recently
It’s a weak response to someone not being a fan of something
Also people knew it would be action oriented but people have no idea what that fully entails especially if certain key FF systems are still present . Btw you can still love the game , still think it’s worth $70 and still be surprised at how things are lacking in certain areas

Enjoy bro, that fight is insane as well. The spectacle in these boss fights is something I have never seen done in a video game before, these niggas are actually cracked

Oh yeah, that's unacceptable lol

I guess it’s just more so they could’ve stressed their disappointment the first time around they heard it wasn’t going to have a party system which was months before release. I agree that you would maybe believe it should’ve been a choice to include one since previous FFs had it, but it’s not a requirement to include a party system, and they still do fight beside you and chatter. You can decide if they executed that well enough at least (are they too idle, are the animations lacking etc). And honestly as the saying goes, comparison is the thief of enjoyment. This is suppose to be its own standalone game from other FFs. The development team is vastly different as well, so you kinda have to go in thinking differently.
And plus you got to think, if they did make the party system, it would take away from other parts of the game. I doubt Clive would have all those Eikon abilities. So it’s really down to preference.
Now if fans were debating if the side quests are good or not, that’s an actual argument where you can’t objectively say they are
but subjectively they might be for some fans who like the whole bearer and medieval approach but it definitely deserves actual criticism lol to keep it a buck for me, I think they weren’t creative enough with side quests, they are boring in my opinion. Really have to immerse yourself to give a damn lol still this is one the best FFs to date. Too many positives
navigating this damn hideaway is such a pain

Yeah the positive outweighs the cons immensely . Even for people that don’t like certain features or lack of features enough . So far i hate the side quest and the item system is mid and there’s a few other things i would prefer and the game is still one of the best I’ve played this year.

Previewers and now reviews gassed this without a honesty possessed by like a skill up , some of kinda funny or polygon. Like fine give it a high score but there is no reason to act like its chasing perfection

Yeah the small quality of life parts of the game weren’t emphasized. That to me holds it back a bit. They wanted you to go in, play this cinematic story with flashy combat, and the rest is sorta add ons. And honestly gameplay and story is the main things to a narrative structured game so since they are both good I’m fine with it. Neither are perfect though.
This isn’t a 10/10 for me. But it’s one of the best games to come out as of recent and highlight for the year. It’s superb but definitely has flaws.

oh I am so ready for this to save recent momentum.
I am trying to hear the music at the VGAs but this truly doesn't deserve Game of the Year the current point I am at. The fact that fanboys care this much about GOTY 6 months into the year not even a week after they themselves played the game is insane

Yeah.
It’s gonna be TotK, unless AC6 somehow ends up being Elden Rings tier (which I don’t really see happening because it’s always been a more niche franchise).
