They didn’t mention hunts, they really only showcased enemy placements being different in dungeons so potentially bosses/hunts may still behave differently

With some tropes and some serious topics addressed which creators have told us in the lead up. When it comes to dark topics I agree its how its addressed 100% but if topics are outright triggering to people I can't tell them that this game will be something that handles it well. Especially when some of them go to games to escape. They don't want the last of us so I get it lol
They’ve iterated and reiterated time and time again that the game is inspired by GoT.
And the nature of the demo should give an idea of how brutal the game is likely to be.
Also, if this isn’t what you want out of FF, we literally have Rebirth dropping early next year.

I imagine a lot of the people who are upset about those spoilers are people who already had an unfavorable view of the game to begin with.
They probably haven’t touched XIV either, so they don’t know about the quality of the writing on its expansions.
Then there’s also people who think certain subjects shouldn’t be broached on principle alone. ResetERA is full of reactionaries.
I never take discourse concerning out of context plot spoiler leaks seriously either, typically the people who do are, again, the ones who had either no interest in the piece to begin with, people who have an active agenda against it, or people who have theorized themselves into a corner.
It’s always polarizing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it not be.
Take any FF game, boil it down to raw plot points, speculations, and fan theories filling in gaps, and there’d be surefire discourse ahead of release.

I also can’t stand that anytime a game tries to lean into something a little darker, people bring up The Last of Us 2, a game that’s 3 years old at this point.
As if the majority of games nowadays are dark and depressing.

It’s all about perspective. The game is set in medieval times, not cancel culture woke 2023. Much like Game of Thrones, it becomes more immersive because of the integrity of being true to the time. Granted, Yoshi P had to know it would trigger certain people, which is my main thing with it. As long as it doesn’t come off as gimmicky, I think it will enhance the immersion into the story and attach our heart to the game more.
That said, I trust Yoshi P

Nope doesn't suck but its another one where you can read many plots on paper and not have the magic in them because its not meant to be a book. Especially a spark notes. Spark notes of most stories even the ones we love are just okay on paper
Me personally though I peeked because I am not as much there for the story as the gameplay who knows maybe I wind up being wrong and the story hooks me . I made sure to skip when I saw it was like the entire story. Mainly saw what they thought was controversial

Oh yeah as long as its not edgy for edgy sake which is what some worry. its a 40 hour story and this seems to only be leaks from 10-20 hours from what I am gathering. Just do characters justice. Develop them.
But really lol my worry out of all this was what they said about sidequest being limited task wise . But i fear that in all games with side quest

That site is f***ing terrible right now. They don’t know how to act. Somebody went in the general discussion thread that was going on since announcement, quoted a bunch of people and just pasted every spoiler they knew because they had a bone to pick with the game for months now.
I feel so bad. That’s probably the best collection of users on that site too. I’m glad mods caught it quickly but I can’t imagine being hyped for this for 3 years and having it ruined for me when there’s only 5 days till launch. I’d be so distraught lol

oh yeah the actual things happening in the side quest added to the main story even if the task of going to a location and killing something may get repetitive for me personally. The story tidbit itself and world building seems cool enough to get me in
