Honestly Elpis might be one of my favourite arcs in the f\*\*\*ing game, I cant believe they let us travel around with Hythlodaeus, Emet and f\*\*\*ing Venat. Hermes was also a great character to introduce what an arc man

Theres just so much good fan service and world building going on. When I saw Hythlo and Emet I got super hyped. And Venat, in those short hours left such a strong impression for me. One of the best characters this entire expansion imo. They just keep outdoing themselves. I’m so impressed

I can't believe they made me like Fannydanny. I was not very keen on him being the villain before EW came out but I ended up enjoying him even though he was kind of dumb
But then again Amon-Fandaniel and Hermes-Fandaniel are practically different characters.

though looking through my logs/parses for that fight, my ass is awful

I haven't gotten to play much endwalker but I gave it my game of the year. they made an expansion so popular that they are making the hard but right decisions to mitigate server flow, and compensate current subscribers.

leaving millions on the table because it matters for current user experience. for that they deserve game of the year imo.

Tbh, I was getting 95s and 99s easy last expansion and now im getting 60s (although im not BiS yet), parsing is just very competitive atm for some reason.

Also theres a lot of padding in these fights that I see people doing so you have to do some extra s*** if you wanna parse high rn

i've just been kinda winging it (and it's my first time actually getting into "end game" fights), plus RDM got the change w/ manafication & the combo being changed to 50/50 mana. just been too lazy to look at a proper rotation since that change

saw a SAM hit 90 in one of our party finder groups and i'm not even close to them though i guess it's good to see we're clearing while being unoptimized as s*** lol

Rotation really is the most important thing tho so I would just go to the Balance discord and look at the red mage resources since everything there is usually up to date

yeah, i'm not too pressed. just need to utilize a few things a bit more after looking at the preliminary opener. fortunately RDM is easy to play so shouldn't be too hard. don't think it means a whole lot (from what i gather), but i can finish the stone, sky, sea with a bit of time to spare.

Sounds good, gear is another big factor and you not having BiS might be the reason why you might be doing good but your parse is low.

I went and did the 2nd ex trial today with all my gear and im back at orange now

How you finding new RDM btw, i'm currently levelling BLM to 90 but RDM probably gonna be my next caster. The changes to that job look really strong tbh, it even gets a shield now

i realized that this morning lol. the rotation guide i was looking at had the dude using the optimal rotation, potion, and had the 580 weapon (which is the only thing i'm missing atm).

believe he finished the second stone, sky, sea extreme trial with 25~ seconds left. i tried it w/o potions and the optimal rotation and ended up finishing with 12 or so seconds left, so i think that's not too bad? obv need to iron out some kinks, but i'm chillin.

prob gonna help a couple friends get their 580 accessories today, then do the other trial tomorrow/this weekend. pretty excited for that

as for RDM, i love it man. love having AOEs on the finishers, 50/50 combo starter (+ the manafication change), magic barrier is crazy nice to have as well (ESPECIALLY when people f\*\*\* up the quetzalcoatl & snake rotation in extreme zodiark then getting hit by styx 9 times immediately after)

i don't think i have any complaints with RDM. seems almost too good for the role it plays

also getting back to leveling RPR, and god, enshroud makes the job even f***ing cooler than it already is

the snake s\*\*\* really disoriented the f\*\*\* outta me I hated it, then I realised that you only have to look at the 1 snake thats at the edge of the arena and it becomes braindead. Also that styx killed people so many times during prog

Also can't wait to play it tbh, the amount of party utility that job brings almost doesn't seem balanced tbh

it took my ass way too long to realize that, despite how simple it really is. i think i just get flustered when the stage starts to spin

and forreal. having embolden for extra party-wide damage, mitigation, healing/insta-rez, good damage, pretty easy to play. don't think i could've asked for a better job. they better not touch it with the next tuning pass

I'm so excited to see what the team does with Lahabrea in Pandaemonium. He's the only major antagonist that hasn't had their character worked upon in any interesting way yet, but I'm confident that they'll do him justice after seeing how Giaus was handled in Sorrow of Werlyt.
