I mean Kendrick put out like two whole albums where his relationship with religion and spirituality are the main centerpiece, where he questions his own faith and damn near self-flagellates himself for succumbing to temptations, sinning, and questions his connection to his faith because he felt/feels he does not live up to the standards/ethics of the faiths he chooses to follow.
You're being wildly obtuse my guy.
when they changed the algorithm and told us how it works now lol
That only gave the clickbaiters incentive to clickbait, not for people to accept it and attack people who react to it instead of the ones misleading people
The sentiment I remember:
He basically stated Palestinians resisting occupation and colonization are stupid because they are at a disadvantage in terms of resources.
He recommended basically giving up due to this and just succumb to marginalization rather than resist and fight against it because it’s futile.
Basically “why complain when you’re killed or your land is taken? When you resist you know you’re just going to be killed for it/punished further. So it doesn’t work.”
Lol why is it a new thing every week and no one ever has proof or consistent recount on this conversation?
Based on both the Kendrick and Reasonable Doubt conversations I can't trust you guys to recall or quote him correctly as people were misquoting him even when there was video and audio evidence
Yeeaah ion know man, since Kendrick first came onto the mainstream scene I've always known him to put his religious views at the forefront. And in every album he has released, his relationship with his religion(s) is on full display. Album wise, interviews, s*** his music videos as well his faith is a centerpiece to his music lmao
I'd even say his political views are very apparent in Section 80, To Pimp a Butterfly, and DAMN. He's just not going around calling Obama a terrorist (not inaccurate or a bad thing) or befriending IDF soldiers, or saying the Dominicans are controlling the banks and media...
Honestly, it's kinda weird to say Jay Electronica is more vocal politically and religiously than Kendrick cause that nigga hardly f***in drops music...or says much of anything outside of his deranged cult posting of Louis Farrakhan lol
If anything I'd say they're about even, and much of that is because Kendrick has dropped much more music and has been in interviews and mini-docs where he discusses how his faith impacts his artistry and life in general.
this conversation is so contrived. if you really know both of these artist and the history of who they both were before the music AND THEN really factor in and follow their music careers and the nuances and details of their journeys you would know that they were never the same nor ever had the same trajectory. Lupe was always going to be Lupe and Kendrick was always going to be Kendrick. cut this mess out
FD did this video to follow what Lil Bill's video was about

I might make a video on how Wale was supposed to be the premiere rapper of the blog era before Drake came. The original blog era big 3 was Cudi Wale Lupe then Drake came
Please do

so what is a creator like FD signifier supposed to do to get his viewers to see his videos in their algorithm if the system he’s participating changed to only show this?

You're changing the topic. I've already acknowledged that a creator would want to do this for this reason.
I'm saying regardless clickbait is still intentionally misleading an audience so I think you should be criticising the deceptive person instead of attacking people for commenting on a headline before watching a 2 hour video

why comment on a topic you won’t honestly engage with but react to the title? that’s literally judging a book by its cover

That's like saying why watch a 2 hour video based on the title and thumbnail, both answers are the same - because it's engaging. People will comment before, during, and after that's what the creator wants, all engagement (views, clicks, high CTR, comments, likes, shares) is good for them. And we decide what to engage with based on the cover.
But again one is intentionally deceiving and the other is being deceived. Why do you place the blame on essentially the victim?
He can simply choose a different and less deceptive title (he did before changing it btw, FD always changes the titles of his vids after a day or two)

covers and titles aren’t the art, they are the marketing element to get you to engage with the piece which people who don’t watch the video are not doing. they deadass just talking of their own perspectives they pulled from nowhere
I don’t see a pack of cookies then offer criticism on the cookies cause they packed in a yellow box instead of a blue one without even tasting either lmfao, my eyes might just like yellow more than blue
he talking bout the emojis lol

This topic is so old. Ofc this guy picks it back up because his audience is probably late Gen Z and has no idea

If the same pack of cookies said "new recipe now with hazelnut" but has none inside, you wouldn't criticise them for deceiving you?
Deceptive marketing should be criticised, that's what clickbait is. Them doing it because of it's how the algorithm works isn't a good justification for bad behaviour.
It's a mistake to say only the art should be criticised and not the marketing.
Not sure why Jay Electronica was brought up
Jay Electronica was a good lyricist but lacked the accessibility and versatility to in his music to appeal to a wider audience.
He kinda had this one thing he was good at.
I get why Lupe was being called the savior of rap in his early days during the ringtone era. Felt like the 2nd coming of Nas at the time and he had the jay wordplay and confidence but it was different and a breath of fresh air with the nerd skateboard s*** he was on
Kendrick is more commercial in every way. Not saying there’s anything wrong with it both are goats
