    youdidtht

Fr the jacket is noticeably wrinkled and his face is wild off guard

I imagine it’s almost impossible to make those jackets look 100% good cause I’m pretty sure their made out of 100% cheap polyester i bet Jamie Foxx doesn’t even remember this shoot, they may have paid him with both of those jackets lol.

S*** I might as well just drop the extra hundred then

$200 leaves you kinda limited these days when it comes to premium denim tbh

Can’t wait to cop my Polo Bear sweater this week man. That s*** always seem like it didn’t even exist when I was a kid. The department store in my town that sold all the Polo always had some Polo Bear sweaters and a red indian head sweater always hanging on mannequins but never actually for sale and I think it’s still the same way. Idk what made me catch that fever but I just really been wanting a Polo Bear.

I feel their some of the most ultimate statement pieces.

I remember when I was little whenever I was in the polo store I would just look at em and imagine one day I’d be able to get one

Forreal,Polo as a brand was magical and had some of the best store displays in clothes imo. I need to go to a department store and go to the Polo section and just buy some stuff lol. I’ll feel slightly accomplished compared to those days when I use to go to the Polo section,my mom looks at the price and then tells me to put it down lol.

I’m actually buying a lot of Ralph nowadays,I just need to do it at a department store.

  • Aug 18, 2021

But yea,Polo Bear sweaters felt super mythical as a kid,you just imagined yourself wearing them. Retro Jordan’s in early-mid 2000s come in at a close second in being mythical/mysterious gear you only daydreamed about wearing.

Oh,most definitely,I’m gonna do it soon. It’s gonna feel amazing,it’s gonna remind me of that day when I was a broke kid asking one of the sale reps in the store were 3-pack polo tees were on sale and getting the nastiest no I’ve ever gotten in a store

I feel like certain sale reps feel like that even as a customer, you don’t deserve to be wearing this gear. Like man,I can’t imagine how a random young black girl just wanting to window shop gets treated at stores like Chanel or LV if their just picking stuff up and not buying.

I’d rather deal directly with the retailer and cut out whatever bullshit the people on the floor try and put me thru

It’s bad but it’s terrible as a young kid. The bullshit I went through in certain stores just helps me appreciate the stuff I buy more.

When I was younger I ain’t really have to deal with s*** like that that much, outside of the regular s*** you just get for being black anywhere, because I pretty much only got my clothes out of outlets or boscovs and Macy’s

  • Aug 18, 2021

As a kid,I pretty much just wore s*** almost exclusively from J.C.Penney and Sears with the occasional polo or jeans from American Eagle. I tried to be different at times and wear s*** like Zoo York,I knew it wasn’t cool but I just attempted to be different. I always knew about fresh s*** tho,I was really into BBC,Bape,Evisu,Ice Cream and Red Monkey Jeans at the time but nowhere close to affording it.
Most expensive piece of clothing I bought myself as a kid is definitely a $40 Perry Ellis Polo. Whew, this taking me down memory lane. If I had to be honest,if I could go back in time with the money I have now,I would rather be a consumer back then. Stuff felt way more exclusive than it does now.

I think what really sparked me diving deeper into fashion was someone calling me out on the s*** I was wearing at the time, but before that I was always into putting clothes together I just wasn’t too aware of everything out there

Yep,I got clowned for wearing Zoo York one time,it pissed me off but I knew bro was right. After that,I started wearing Levi’s 511s and too small hoodies too school(I was wearing some of my sisters hoodies)and a pair of almost all black with a blue tongue and sole Air Max 90s.(I murdered those shoes) That was in 2010 when Cudi was huge for a lot of alt type kids but most kids around my way were still super baggy.

It worked out lol,a lot of girls thought I was brave for wearing the look so I got alot of female attention and even copycats,I was in 9th grade.

Everything is inflated now, even luxury clothing is inflated now. Like,Gucci goes on sale cause it was overpriced in the first place, shit back then was expensive but it wasn’t overpriced, expensive and overpriced are two different things. I feel like the inflation is coming from everyone being in the know and brands trying to keep certain people away.

And then you have hype and resell ruining s*** too. I swear there was really more magic into nice clothes man.

I’m not a 100% on this but I think I was in 9th grade around 2016, I got a pair of black slim jeans, hit the sale section on bodega and opening ceremony and got a shoe rotation out the Nike outlet sale section s*** had me fresher than most of the niggas in my grade

I feel like all the s*** finna implode eventually, niggas even ruining old clothes with the whole archivebeast s***, not to mention a lot of the s*** I be seeing from brands I used to idolize feels low effort compared to the s*** they used to put out
