broski.. I also threw on Bloodborne yesterday, been feeling that urge and to see if I still had the feel.. Do you start from scratch again or just new game plus ?
I kinda wouldn't mind making my cutie have a different hair color not that it really matters haha

i prefer starting over in Souls games. it's fun to start from scratch finding all the weapons and releveling your character and s***.

i don’t really think this is a distinction we get to make as outsiders, so i refrain from saying it. since i know there’s at least some population of people who find the word offensive, it’s also just a respect thing.
basically same reason i don’t use other slurs
I was trying to explain it from the point of view of perceiving it as a form of forced negative slurification. There was even a great Washington Post article about this same idea from like 15 years ago or something arguing that it’s essentially counter productive to reducing the harm when you reinforce it. I myself was arguing that by insisting on this pain culturally through media publications, various institutions and through social media that you will only end up perpetuating, spreading, and increasing said pain. Language is fluid and it’s totally within our power to transform certain words into mostly harmless slang, the r word was pretty much there already.
It was still constantly used in general media and was relatively socially acceptable until around 2014. The idea that this shift in discourse surrounding it was an organic change in people’s hearts is mostly manufactured, not to mention that the cultural project to make it taboo hasn’t really worked outside of the professional classes, entertainment industry, and what not. Most people still use it frequently to describe like a bad idea. For example someone responding to their friend like “dude I’m not doing that, that’s r e t a r d e d.” It’s usually less directed at individual people as it is more so applied to concepts and actions.

Beautifully put
So like a week and a half ago, internet technician came to hook up our internet and said there was no cable to hook up and one will have to be installed.
Fast forward to today, different technician comes to install it and says there is a hook up and it was just a little hidden.... so basically the first guy was a complete f***ing idiot. Took the new guy like 2 minutes to find it.

Peep this really well made short animated noir bout the infamous "Cat Piano" narrated by Nick Cave
its only 8 mins
FIFTEEN CARS!
how do you become a technician and f*** up on something that simple
maybe hes good at the complicated stuff
