Dumb decision
yea. MMLP one of my most replayed rap albums.
especially because there is more to it than simple shock value.

None of you geeks will agree but Elvis In Memphis in 1969 was 15 years into his career and absolute zenith
yes
The New York Sessions
Slower and more bare
this is nice but i definitely prefer the brisker pace and all that reverb they drowned his voice in on the og

This is no way better than when he first came out

not that song but he had a bunch of performances in '68-'69 that are stunners. nobody else from the 50's came close to adapting as well to the new era. none of them could have dreamt of a Suspicious Minds (top ten for sure). it was a big deal.

There are a lot of bands that only improved with age
Aphex Twin released Drukqs about a decade into his career
Also NIN. The Fragile was released 10 years after Pretty Hate Machine and it's one of the best things he ever did.

KISS
through silver in blood - 11 years in
jane doe - 11 years in
close to a world below - 14 years in
i think dino jr's last 2 records are the best they've ever done
that’s crazy but they are real good albums
Also many Jazz artists such as Miles Davis, Cecil Taylor, Sun Ra, Don Cherry, McCoy Tyner, it was also rather the rule for many Classical greats. Rock and Hip Hop artists somehow peak very early far more often than others.
