HamingtonI remember reading a bit of your arthouse thread a while back. Sort of agree, but I feel that way about films as a whole. Took like six months between each theater trip past two years. So Bad Boys was most recent, then Midsommar before that, and Phantom Thread. Outside of one film Khalik Allah was presenting person, but was for AFI fest
I love film, and it’s a big part of who I am, but there’s also a part of me that I don’t look out to watch some Arthouse movies or other movies from like Wes anymore. I would Prefer to watch something easy or something I’ve seen a million times before haha!
I’m not going to the theatre too. I remember I would go every week back in the days and go to film festivals.
I guess when you start getting older, with work and other commitments, it just makes it harder.
I’ve seen a BIG range of films. I’m comfortable with where I am now.
Lowkey I don’t even know what movies are coming out like that anymore until I google a director and I’m like “no s***” haha!
I may not be up to date like I used to, but I’ll go see a movie if it’s from one of my fav directors. It just sucks that I may not be playing attention to some up and coming directors tho 😬

It’s just not feasible. Going to the theater is a social outing. Replace WB with Sony and Tenet with OUATIH and it would fail miserably

Yeah I'm torn cause there really has been nobody overseeing the larger star wars universe which is ridiculous (only business people like Big D*** Kathleen Kennedy)..... but I also don't want him distracted from his marvel duties
