F***....
so I was looking through friends ratings on LB of Chungking Express, and noticed ATL watched it as well, decided to click on his profile and saw the last time he logged a film was late 2021.
I also knew that the last time he was around was the 1980s list (earlier 2022) which is also when I remember last seeing him. (The 60s list was early 2023 and he was not active).
The Twitter page that is linked to his LB account ( https://x.com/Doctaphil9?t=FXOaoI4uiZ8QwV7qw20YNQ&s=09 ) is notably filled with Baseball retweets (Braves) and a pin stating his home in NJ. He also shares his display name as his first and last name.
I did a quick Google and I think this is our dear friend Atl. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/atlanta/name/philip-white-obituary?id=36463838
Unfortunately, I think what VB was worried would be possible is true, and also considering his unfortunate battle with substances, the nature of the death described, and the allusion to loving baseball as well as the reference to living in NJ. The points all add up, assuming it's not all a coincidence, RIP
Damnnn that's heartbreaking. RIP
Lebowski/Serious Man or any other Coen really
Tropic Thunder
Dr Strangelove and Barry Lyndon
Crazy Romani flick Black Cat White Cat
The Lighthouse
Sherlock Jr or any other Buster Keaton
Chaplins Modern Times
Miracle In Milan
Seventh Seal/Smiles Of A Summer Night, Bergman was actually hilarious
Crazy Soviet horror flick Viy
Harold and Maude
Wild at Heart
Dead Man
PDL/Inherent Vice
Speed Racer
Moonrise/Budapest
More of a "good movies that are funny sometimes" than outright comedies I guess but
I showed my parents Brazil because for some reason I remembered it being a comedy. And my mom of course had to leave the room because she thought it was too dark/depressing.
