All dat is music from 60s to 90s
Also said 90% of it lol
But you just named 8 artists you'd play. Ain't it possible there can be more you add to that when you discover? Especially seeing how derivative some s*** out now is to them?

It’s possible I suppose but i would only really listen to modern music that has callbacks to that kinda sound if the music also has modern sensibilities. Like for example, I think most 80s synth pop is mad cringe but After Hours ended up really clicking with me because of the many modern touches from other genres embedded into it as a body of work
And I mean there’s no hate to Cure or the other artists. I think they’re all v good. I’m just saying I don’t know why Id ever listen to their music. It ain’t dance, sex, or feels music imo. It seem like it could go hard when you smoking or takin d**** but I don’t do any of dat.

How old are you? Idk I always been one for going back and I really take lyrics to heart. So Moz and Rob Smith's pens are just super ill to me.
And I have to respect the influences as much as those who take. Def think After Hours pales compared to the goat synthpop tho
I suppose stuff like Black Sabbath or Public Image LTD could go hard in certain situations but that’s more like if I got a certain itch to play it

I was born in early 90s, but if I was listening for nostalgia it would probably be more for music in the early 00s, which was p much anything but derivative of the 80s lol.
Yeah idk if lyrics have ever really moved me outside of like Kanye or linkin Park tbh. The music has always been the big factor to me. I certainly don’t like s***ty lyrics but these days, I ain’t really getting moved by someone’s lyrics lol. I like clever writing or s*** that sound nice though.
60,70s and 90s the best decades imo. I like each decade from the 50s onwards though.
It helps listening to music that isn't so stereotypically that timeframe. Like, Hosianna Mantra by Popol Vuh doesn't sound like any decade tbh.

Hosianna Mantra I think def has some of that psychedelic 60s sound in it but I do agree that it’s definitely not a stereotype. I def f*** with Krautrock just not something I listen to a whole lot atm. But yeah usually when I get attracted to music that doesn’t sound like a stereotype it usually ends up being more recent music. Like I think Kevin Penkin’s soundtrack for Made in Abyss sounds like virtually nothing from any decade (moreso got elements of classical music and certain japanese video game soundtracks but still quite it’s own thing) which is something I listened to quite a bit recently.
I would say Rock Bottom from Wyatt doesn’t really sound like any other decade but that is something I don’t see myself listening to either despite me thinking it is a strong body of work.
