Also have like 6k designer clothes I'm selling that I bought 5-6 years ago and never wore because I didn't have the swag at the time to pull any of it off, so they've just been collecting dust. I'm just a lazy f*** though and this s*** really is time consuming...

You bought 6k worth of of designer clothes in anticipation of the day you had enough confidence to wear them? you earned that L

lmao, nah it wasn't that I thought I could one day pull em off. A lot of time it's just buying clothes thinking they look good online and when they arrive, they just don't look as good as they did in the pictures. And I wouldn't really say it's an L since I'm making the money back + more on a the most expensive pieces that have gone up in value. For example buying an SLP shirt for 250 dollars in 2014 and it's worth 750 dollars today. Or a different one that's worth 1000 dollars now (not trying to sell that one yet though)

I'd say half of them I actually have worn and have enjoyed wearing, but yeah a ton of clothes i've bought I've never actually worn.

Anyone else here collect any trading cards when they were young or just me? When I was 8 every week I would get my 5 dollar allowance and run down to the local card shop (Card Dog it was called) and buy the booster packs just hoping to pull a Holo each time. The original form of gambling Looking over these cards now getting crazy nostalgia I'm starting to remember why this was like crack for me back in the day

Ah so you're my girlfriend constantly buying clothes online knowing damn well the chances of it fitting and feeling good are miniscule. I have to wear something for like ten minutes in-store before Im positive I'll actually keep it in my rotation lol. And even then some stuff gets neglected.

And yeah even when I made stupid money I didn't care/wasn't aware of brands anyway and always just wanted the most low-key, label fee stuff. Sometimes it was expensive but I never recognized brands.

Reseller world nothing I've ever delved into on either end.

I had Marvel fleer cards immaculate paintings of superheroes on hockey cards basically lol. One of the few things I used to collect that I completely lost still have all my comics though.

I never buy branded stuff, as in stuff that reveals the brand on the clothing itself (like those awful Balmain shirts that have the logo in big lettering on the front). I only buy something if I think it will look good and the brand name is hidden.

And for whatever reason I usually can't ever find things in the lower price range that I think look good enough to wear. I think buying a 200 dollar shirt is a good Invesment if you know you'll wear it for the next 20+ years/it won't break like most fast fashion. Most things people buy from Zara/brands like that they just end up throwing out after a year or falling apart. (I have a shirt with a beautiful pattern from Zara that I've had to get fixed like 5 times because the buttons always fall off)

My biggest mistake is doing online shopping instead of going into the store more. But a lot of pieces are things I buy that are only available in Europe/Japan etc.

Yeah I've started doing more clothes shopping while in Europe cause you find amazing stuff you don't see out here.

I never spend hundreds on a shirt cause they're too at risk for staining and s*** but I agree for all other articles of clothing. Having said that i do have alot of concert shirts from decades ago that are still in good shape aside from the fading.

Sorry should've clarified that I stopped doing it because my dreams specifically were such nonsense that I just couldn't be bothered trying to piece it all together or even keep track of it. I remember having several dreams dreams about wayne rooney dying at the time lol.

Yeah I'll actually bookmark it this time and read it at a more suitable time (when I'm not 1.5 beers deep watching darts). I learnt about some dream a***ysis at school but can't remember any of it, just know that I then desperately tried to teach myself how to start lucid dreaming

crying picturing a recurring nightmare where wayne is dying and you just see a sad coleen lmaooo

I usually buy darker clothing anyway because it looks better on my skin tone, so don't have to worry as much about staining. White tees I can't go a week without staining. But interestingly some of my nicer white pieces like my Celine button down has held up pretty well and no stains that I can notice. Might have to part ways with it though soon could prolly pull around half a grand for that jawn and would be pretty crazy not to sell at this point.

Seeing Poor Things in a couple hours and Monster tomorrow. I just need to knock those out and Killers of the Flower Moon and I've seen basically everything that's going to be Oscar nominated.

fuuuuck Monster is finally out in NY. Might have to go see it tomorrow tbh, been waiting like 6 months now. i'll probably miss the Lanthimos joint unless it's exceptionally good. lmk how it is I wasn't a huge fan of The Favourite.
The Bradley Cooper Bernstein biopic was extremely disappointing.

Do you have a letterboxd btw?
