it kinda gets into one of those things where i wonder if i prefer a project because I think the highs are better or cuz its more consistent. Cuz I think After Hours is def a more consistent body of work than KL but the highs of KL >>>>>

I don’t like KL much if at all, lyrics are so weak imo.
Outside of Trilogy, I’ve only really liked Starboy but I’m loving this new one. Not only is it more consistent but the highs are far superior imo, feel like he’s at his best when he delves into the 80s sound.
Cuz you guys didn't buy Kiss Land you mean?
KL needs to be respected
did you "buy" KL ? :mystery:

ive never rly thought weeknd to have great lyrics tbh. Always listened to him because of his vocals, melodies, and immersive atmosphere. But KL does have some great moments lyrically.
Professional is prob a top 3 weeknd song for me in general.
The Town, Wanderlust, Tears in the Rain, Kiss Land, Adaptation >>>
Getting rich to the drums of your favorite song
Girl, you've got it made

Love Professional but the fact that it’s the first song and it only starts to pick up after Live For (
) never really intrigues me enough to return it it.
I’ll try revisiting sometime soon.

i hate Live For lol. But yeah thats my ordeal with it. The songs I love from KL are like legit some of my fav Weeknd songs ever but then it also has a good deal of songs I don't care for at all lol.
with After Hours, its mostly across the board good but in terms of the highs, I don't think I could see myself putting anything in my top 10 from him besides the titled track.

In Your Eyes is up there for me, actually that track run from Faith - Save Your Tears is the best thing he’s done in years. Overall he’s hit and miss but I really enjoyed this and I can only see it getting better with time.
K rise I'm listening to my whole library on random right now for the first time ever and it's pretty cool tbh

Even if Kiss Land was half as popular as BBTM, it still made sense for him to “sell out” a bit
My governer just ordered all "non-essential" workers home
these restaraunts better stay open till I get off
Bodegas still 24/7?
Soon, too busy playing smash bros.
How u and @Bizzle handling the “partial” lockdown?
Lately I feel like, every film I watch is the best thing in the world.
I feel like I'm kinda over-appreciating every film
Does this make me hyperbolic?

I’m still working so not much has changed for me atm

Consistent is boring. It's all about the highs.

It seems like a good way to live

Consistency is directly related to replayability

yeh i think for me highs matter more because in the long run im gonna go back to songs i rly love rather than blast a project front to back from 5-6 years ago

Been working from home all week. It's fine so far but I reckon I'll lose my mind after a while, I'm not good at being stuck in on my own for a long time

You tripping KL and EoS are his lyrical peaks

maybe you've just been watching extra amazing films only lately

Haven’t peeped in a while but the lyrics seemed too lazy for my liking, he’s not the best songwriter but it didn’t strike me as impressive.
It’s been a while so I’ll give it another listen soon.
Agree with EoS.
Oh s*** the Empty Country album dropped today! Cymbals Eat Guitars are maybe my favourite band of the last decade so this is EXCITING
