Yeah I never buy fast fashion and I like spending money on cool brands like that, just story mfg stuff is always a slight level above what I'm willing to pay. Like £300-£400 for a shirt and I never see it pop up in many sales here.
Uniqlo U is nice but the last couple years of it have bored me a bit
yeah haven't purchased from U in a couple years but there collection in 2020 was insane from what I remember
Wasn’t thinking of Sparks, but now that you say that I totally can see it.
Ever check these guys out?

Tis the best 1964 album

They're a really great overlooked band
I love this interview detailing how they put I'm Not in Love together

With some songs, you just know it's gonna be a classic.
This is lovely
band had Graham Gouldman who wrote the handful of hit singles the Yardbirds had with Jeff Beck. Kinda sounds like what the Beach Boys should have been doing in the mid 70s, ideally.

yeah I'm Not In Love
its a classic obviously but after hearing how clever Sheet Music was I was shocked to find that song was these guys
its just such a sincerely saccharine mega soft rock tune with none of the cheek from their previous album. veers to far into the megaslick Steely Dan realm for me.
No
lowkey the most haywire music Clapton ever made, but he wasnt quite the star of the show yet like with Cream so the whole band moves as one unit working these songs up to an absolute frenzy

I wouldn't call I'm Not in Love saccharine in the slightest. The song is super bitter and pitiful when you really dig into the lyrics and the production basically invented vaporwave 35-40 years ahead of time. S*** is amazing honestly
This. It’s a cool glamey early 70’s power pop gem I found. It’s basically a heavier extension of The Left Banke. Had it stuck in my head the last few days.

I mean the music but yeah looking at the lyrics they're indeed very bitter. I dont listen to vapourware but I think I see what you mean. sounds like the way the heavenly backup harmonies are arranged and mastered paved the way for the way Eurythmics and Fleetwood etc did it in the 80s.

I gotta give the whole thing more spins cause I just really prefer their other two records. This the only track off it that I come back to a lot.
