what ambient s*** have you had in rotation lately? i recently heard Stars of the Lid’s Avec Laudenum for the first time, awesome album with a phenomenal closer:

From this year I'm really digging:
Laurel Halo - Atlas
Tujiko Noriko - Crepescule I & II
Lucy Liyou - Dog Dreams
Romance - Fade Into You
Romance & Dean Hurley - River of DreamsHonestly not sure who this "Romance" even is but everything they've done is amazing. They had an album last year full of Celine Deline samples smeared into hazy ambient pop songs, and even that was amazing

listened to this Hiroshi Yoshimura album while i read Wind Up Bird Chronicle in the bath
pure blisscan’t believe there’s ambient albums this good that i haven’t heard yet
also tried to play Yoshimura’s album Green afterwards, but that one proved a lil too busy for reading lol. sounded nice though
sounds like a
combination Sakamato goes well with it as well I think
Apparently Koreeda listened to Sakamato in his hotel non-stop while he was writing his latest film. Was too sick to do the whole score so only submitted a few pieces and older songs. (Which I really need see, apparently the last film Sakamoto scored before he passed)
If anyone knows where I can find the film will be forever indebted

Incredible album. I've been listening to the Nala Sinephro album from a couple years ago a lot as well, occupies the same kinda ambient jazz space as that one

Like illinois and c&l obviously. But michigan is nearly as good as illinois just quieter and less bombastic. And then seven swans is f***ing beautiful and adz continues to blow my mind.

Michigan and Illinois are deeply special records for me (Illinois being one of my fav albums all time) and the new album is already top 3 for me and my AOTY
I also love Seven Swans, Age of Adz and Carrie & Lowell
