I haven’t gone back to Drogas Wave in a while. I really dug his newest album.

Literally just finished listening to the newest one again. Great album and probably my early pick for favorite rap release this decade

I heard "look around it, have you found it" and vaguely thought "hey he pinched that couplet from Neil" before realizing it was an actual Neil cover. On top of the fact that nobody's ever covered that song, he changed the melody enough to make it unrecognizable

I gave his first 5 albums a respectful marination years ago and thought they were good not great. Never had any big highlights that I wanted to keep in eternal rotation so I just moved on.

It's been at least 6-7 years since I listened to one of his albums and Gacy the only one of these that I remember (and not because of it's quality)

Come On Feel The Illinoise is a funny title though

Exactly how I feel with the slight exception of Illinois (good not great would rather listen to others)

Carrie and Lowell is his best by far imo. his other “classics” have wayyy too much random filler, and his other albums never hit me too hard

listened to this Hiroshi Yoshimura album while i read Wind Up Bird Chronicle in the bath pure bliss

can’t believe there’s ambient albums this good that i haven’t heard yet

also tried to play Yoshimura’s album Green afterwards, but that one proved a lil too busy for reading lol. sounded nice though

what ambient s*** have you had in rotation lately? i recently heard Stars of the Lid’s Avec Laudenum for the first time, awesome album with a phenomenal closer:

John My Beloved is the only song I’ve ever played in front of my mother that she wasn’t familiar with that made her cry immediately. It’s definitely Sufjan’s most focused, emotionally vulnerable, and consistently beautiful.

Watched all of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Definitely the funniest show right up there with Eastbound & Down and Louie.
