It's so true. I have a deep empathy for the suffering of animals. It f***ing sucks to die on a table in a cold white room with a cone around your head. I can't even imagine. She did nothing wrong, but that's how it goes. You're around for a little while and the cost of that chance to be alive is that one day you lose it and the people who loved you have to hurt when you're gone. It really sucks, but she got to have a mostly happy life and I have my memories of her.

you so so rightbut you are also right that you gave her the best life and she will live in those memories you have. its the worst, i still miss my dog years later but i cherish those memories. much love brother

Had to put my dog down tonight 😞 She was in so much pain by the end. I've never had to do that before. It's a really horrible feeling, picking out your loved one's urn in front of them while they lie there scared and confused. My daughter was there too and my wife tried to explain what was going on.
On top of saying goodbye to everyone at my old school on Tuesday and starting a job at a new one on Thursday, it's been a really tiring, emotional week. That's nothing compared to this but it's just a lot.
