Maybe I should replay Manhunt sometime but the last time I played it the controls kinda ruined it for me
It’s something you kinda just got to adjust to, but it’s apart of its overall feel. I think it’s a perfect sensory experience. The eerie sound design and grungy look of the environments mixed with the way you lumber through them like a slasher villain in the shadows. It’s a top 10 game of all time for me tbh.
Hadn't heard The Woods in a while and that gnarly fuzz on The Fox caught me off guard
Cool af
It’s definitely their most…vulgar
Did you dig the new joint ? That last album was so f***ing bad

Modern Girl my fav song ever

It's like they had the prettiest song they'd ever written, then took a track of pure white noise and slowly turned the fader up until it became the most chaotic too

I haven’t listened to the new one yet. Seems like the consensus is that it’s better than the previous one.
Listening to another Dave Fridmann produced masterpiece

I have my own personal favorite Flaming Lips albums but I'll never argue with someone calling Clouds Taste Metallic their best. Great songwriting and it's produced to perfection
Pulp is one of the best bands of all time
Their 1994-1998 run is dumb
I always think this is Pulp when it comes on my work playlist
every time

Totally agree and I was actually revisiting this one today weirdly enough. Soft Bulletin is my favorite, but the earlier period of them growing from a Replacements style college rock group to the more noisy psychedelic stuff they’d experiment with after that until the first half of the 90’s is an interesting trajectory. I think Transmissions is where they found their identity and Clouds Taste Metallic is where they solidified it.

I definitely dig the look of it. I’ll probably revisit it sometime

my 2nd favorite from them
Ex machina
Alex Garland has written some good movies, but I’m not a fan of him as a director
You like his R.A.P. music project?
I forgot about that entirely
Reagan was an opus
Ex machina
yeah that's one a bit overrated. funny how people gush over it. Annihilation was a bit better.
Garland wrote some great films though.
Sunshine is why I wanted to be a filmmaker when I was little I think. 28 days later is a nice film too.
What a scene
woah I was just thinking about this last night
Damn Zion really gonna go out like Shawn Kemp
whole lotta injuries, a weight problem, and 9 kids
King gizzard concert tonight
