according to Neil they were the hottest band in Winnipeg in the early 60s Randy Bachman was a big influence on Neil and iirc taught him a few things about playing heavy guitar

but they just have a clutch of great singles from 1969 really. plus a good Shakin All Over cover in '65

then they turned into the biggest chads on earth with Bachman Turner Overdrive which seemed to just embrace the American Woman doof angle. you should check out Not Fragile and tell me how it is.
