Man i was really just in the mood to put a movie on that would just be some dumb fun where i could turn my brain off and give into something stupid

So i put on jurassic world dominion and my god...this s*** is actually awful. I was so ready to just enjoy this even if it was bad, but literally every new scene is offensively bad and not in a fun way.

Im 30 mins in and dont know if i can keep watching. There is legit a 10 minute sequence where Laura Dern and Sam Niell go to 4 whole ass different locations with dozens of lines of dialogue, and the OG Jurassic Park theme music is playing the entire time in the background. Like jesus christ i was not expecting to actively hate this movie. A variation of that music plays every time the original characters are on screen im done

Reminds me i gotta get back to @WASHINGTON. Sent him a long message about Blonde when it came out and then he sent one back when he watched it, but that was right when i started my job and everything else went on the backburner

I went back and forth on that movie so many times while watching it. Could not decide if i hated it or loved it, and eventually just gave myself over to that joyride. So much of the film consisted of scenes filled with obvious dialogue and low-hanging fruit metaphor, immediately followed by enigmatic scenes that hint at greater depth.

I think i said this to Washington too: i honestly still dont know if i like or dislike Blonde — but i do know that indecisive feeling stuck with me and made me run the film over in my head for days, which definitely counts for something in my book. I'd love to rewatch it sometime soon tbh

Yeah there's definitely a good movie in there somewhere but all vagina pov, talking fetus, inner b****** monologue, torture p*** s*** nearly put it in the abslysmal Gaspar Noe realm for me. As far as I could tell there was no rhyme or reason to the choice of when to use color either

Thought it nearly had potential to reach The Master levels of exquisite 1950s period fractured psyche s*** but it definitely lost me.

Not sure if I've ever chuckled as hard for a letter box review as I did this
