Rage and System never really resonated with me but I do dig early Korn.
I would’ve thought you liked the Toxicity and Evil Empire albums at least
Em is definitely #2
But Mockingbird has such Pac influence
Everyone in the plug always clowned me for this but I think it's a good song

I like nearly all Em until MMLP2
Then he jumped off the deep end
Recovery definitely has a lot of secret fans
Listening to MoTown and Rockabilly while slinging weight
I was convinced there was no way I could get busted cruising to Supremes or Simon and Garfunkel

I think Recovery holds more power if you've ever dealt with addiction and whatever the f*** else he's talking about
Eminem basically did what post-junkie era Johnny Cash did but it's rap so people label it corny. Imagine if Kurt Cobain survived. It'd probably be the same s***.

i cant even come close to withstanding this

Kurt wanted to do one more album after In Utero then end Nirvana and go solo like Lennon. Mike Stipe heard some s*** he was demo’ing

We're usually on the same wavelength with cringe but I dig the Recovery era

Dude was way too junkiefied at that point. Death was the only way.

problem is his sense of humour disappeared out of nowhere. went from nailing every punchline on s*** like Without Me to every joke flopping on Encore.

I mean yeah. He was suddenly sober after years of being high. Of course his humor went out the window.

Relapse was funny but very morbid

Unfortunately didn't stop him from trying to be funny

Actually a good post-prime Eminem performance because he hasn't reached rippity-rap mode yet (though I don't care for his voice at this point in his career) but the chorus is dreadful and embarrassing

wrote this before the double layered singing Eminem vocals on the third verse and want to throw up.
Also, every song at that point was some level of yelling Eminem. He'd used to hold the anger for some all time disturbing and emotional high points in rap music (whether or not I would willfully listen to Kim is another debate).

he was high as f*** on Encore

Whatever you know what I meant. Post-Slim Shady era. There was clearly a point where he was no longer the funny hyper guy tweaking the f*** out.
Impressive that Eminem managed to make 6 bad albums in a row (I did not listen to his last album so it could be 7). Personally I think it takes a certain level of dedication and stubbornness to continue to release absolute garbage for almost 20 years straight.

yeah and i'm happy for him honestly, but he shoulda called it after the first 2 post-drug albums. He hasn't said or made anything interesting since Lose Yourself

He's still selling millions though I doubt he gives a f***
