I'm not gonna go to war for one or the other. Both really good IMO
True I'd rather just bang them both at the same time

ill go to war for charli
man she just sounds so sad
yeah it's allvery mood based. even if the arrangement is lively, her ability to bring the song back down to pure dejection is impressive.

Not sure about Grimes, but anybody with a brain would go for Charli
There are very few discogs I enjoy as much as Grimes's. Like she has countless songs I love. Even her weirdo early albums have jams. The girl just has an amazing ear for melody.
only cause it's beyond the realm of replication, therefore being one of a kind and only coming off as mysterious because of how unique it is.
Have you checked out Fairport Convention yet for the 60s? Their 2nd album is the godliest of folk rock with Sandy Denny female vocalist stealing the show on alot of songs. Probably the female vocalist who has moved me to tears most over the last 5 years.

unfortunately, despite still actively asking for 60s list, I have posted my own 60s list and moved away from 60s for the time being. I can only take so much 60s at a time broski.
current mood: would rather cry to joanna newsom for the umpteenth time

underrated sad songstress. she only released one album though. made my top10 in 80s but nobody else voted it

Literally has old folks on the cover
Yeah well this is folk rock where you embrace the elders and history not punk rock where you throw it in the trash
