@RVI me and you talked about this before. I don’t know the exact terminology. Can you try to explain it to him.
Yeah it's the gospel influence I think
listening to LCD Soundsystem's last album and i dont remember it being this great
i always liked it, but damn am i loving it now more than ever
kinda weird how a lot of people see this album as a "dissapointment" cuz it's literally just another LCD album lol
maybe it has to do with the fact that a lot of fans felt betrayed when The Long Goodbye was labeled as their supposed swansong and instead they got back together for the money, but even then there is no correlation when it comes to the quality of American Dream. i got into them post-breakup/pre-reunion so as a kid i thought i'd never hear new music from them ever again but to my surprise my wish came true and they released a great album
Family singer sounds like an a******

Yeah all the backlash from that album was about the narrative rather than the actual quality of the music, the album itself was pretty well received

Supposedly the hearse drivers for the queen were ordered not to play music on their radios. That's a 6 hour drive
Nick Cave on Elvis (2022)
Minus the biblical implications this is exactly how I felt when I first saw late late career Elvis footage when I was first diving in
tragic and painful to behold
