Aretha was the modern pioneer of oversinging but she does it in a ferocious way that makes songs like Chain of Fools rock harder. Her Amazing Grace album could be used as torture for half this thread.

Yeah she does on Amazing Grace but I think shes working with an impressive level of restraint alot of the time before that. I Never Loved A Man title track for instance, she could go full apeshit but she restrains herself exactly when you expect her to go overboard

I've always liked it haha, but been off Future for a little bit because his voice was irritating me for a bit, but HNDRXX is still really good and will robably make my 2010s Redux list.
