My ex really liked this band and now I just get annoyed whenever I hear them. They're not bad though.
I wasn’t familiar with them before. Only song I know from them.
Cool little indie pop song.

I’m as pro trans as it comes and I still find it funny. That particular character would think it was gross, that absurd over the top reaction can be funny. Like if it was a guy accidentally kissing his best friend and the same reaction happened no one would bat an eye and call it homophobic.
The whole dang cop shop starts heaving

That being said The Monopoly Guy scene is the true funniest Ace Ventura moment.

The s*** he does at 1:05 made me laugh so hard once I swear I passed out
I remember busting a gut to the scene in particular when I was a kid
the sequel was too good
Sequel was actually quite insane compared to all of Carrey’s movies

That might be my favorite Swans album so far. Either that or Children of God.
@Elric you heard of the Vancouver band Crack Cloud? They hop around different sounds a lot but are a punk band at heart I guess. Got a new album out today, it's good!

I’m still firmly in the camp that prefers their earlier stuff. Cop is my favorite. I might have to go through their discography again, it’s been years.

You'd probably dig early Godflesh then

I re-listened to The Seer over the last 2 days, as it was my introduction to Swans and my early favourite by them. I'd probably take quite a few over it, although I'd have to be in a very specific mood for a Swans marathon of sorts. Still need to visit a few. The Seer was one of my favourite albums of the early decade when I first started keeping track of that stuff and I wonder if it would even crack my top 70 when I redux it. Still some really good stuff on it, but at times it feels pointlessly monotonous and drawn out. The first half of A Piece of the Sky is still very chilling.
Edgar Allen Poe just lost everything. His dead wife is haunting him in his dreams, his latest book has bombed and the imagination that fueled his stories has become a curse. His prayer to never dream again is answered one evening as he falls asleep in an outhouse. His discarded creativity takes the form of his dream child, Edgar Allen Poo, who must now undergo a strange odyssey through the poet's troubled mind.

Public Castration is in my top 3 from them along with White Light

Wes Anderson needs to make a biography about him but gave it be darkly comedic
The title track is in my Top 100 songs ever

it was a conscious decision on my part
i didn’t hear voices

yea dude, they are one of the best bands of the 2010s imo. only 2 albums and both are great. the new singles have been fire too and they have a new record dropping really soon. just a great indie pop band with hooks for days and a qt lead singer
