Sep 14, 2022·1 replyrvii think the recording is pretty amazing but some of the hard panning kinda neuters it (rhythm section mainly) on headphones for me. still not something i would complain a ton about but i feel like its at the awkward spot where there were no mono mixes anymore but still some quirks in stereo mixes that soon went away

yeah ive been basking in it for 2 years
man recorded more than thirty 8/10-10/10 songs in a two month period in from Jan to Feb '69 :fffpu: nobodys ever been so in the pocket as a vocalist and interpreter i reckon. not only is there not one miss but him and Chips pretty much knock every track out of the park.

That “take my hand, take my whole life too” part hits me hard whenever I hear it after a while. Just one of the most beautifully arranged love songs ever.

I dont hate him or anything I just dont dig the vibe at all. Also Vegas era Elvis and its place in pop culture is some of the lamest s*** ever.
