because tastes evolve and maybe youre at the point where you can appreciate the artistry now :elon: worth a shot. one of the best produced albums ever regardless what you think of elvis' voice (who was at his peak and could blow away anybody at this point)

elvis found a new producer who managed to perfectly blend soul, country, folk, blues, gospel into an insane piece of work that needs to be heard at least once. tbh its like the 60s version of Steinman.

i think the recording is pretty amazing but some of the hard panning kinda neuters it (rhythm section mainly) on headphones for me. still not something i would complain a ton about but i feel like its at the awkward spot where there were no mono mixes anymore but still some quirks in stereo mixes that soon went away
