They were always known... With Big Star, you can maybe point to the early 90s for a big popularity rise because it's when they reissued Third and the unreleased Chris Bell album on CD.

Used to spend half the money i was about to make over the weekend on music magazines for the commute

It's one of my favourite albums of the year, some amazing tracks on there

Third is a goddamn masterpiece
