Overwhelming tbh
When did Nick Drake and Big Star get rediscovered anyway? Was way before my time
Probably around the whole indie/folk revival wave in the early 2000s

Big Star influenced the ‘80s indie scene enormously. Replacements got a song named after their guitarist.

They were always known... With Big Star, you can maybe point to the early 90s for a big popularity rise because it's when they reissued Third and the unreleased Chris Bell album on CD.
Used to spend half the money i was about to make over the weekend on music magazines for the commute

Third is a goddamn masterpiece
Could see it influencing some shambolic acoustic stuff from Elliott to Beck even

Another one with that overwhelming gospel/funk/rap fusion

Just realized how badly I need to see oasis live
one of those bands whose lyrics immediately sank into my brain and to sing along with the whole stadium would be magical

I think the closest you'll get it is going to a Liam show and hope he plays Live Forever or something
Yeah when I was living in Canada I really struggled with the dodgy football times. I remember getting up at like 5:30 for games
speaking of that time
the entire highway from vancouver to whistler you took that passes right by my front yard is shut down for a giant marathon today and its a little brisk this morning

90s liam wouldve been nemesis with chris martin
