whos your all British 60s mount rushmore? since your list almost all american
Thought about it
I think after listening to all of Help! To Abbey Road recently I can confidently say, at least for their prime, Lennon made more songs I like
Oh you for real real champion Peter Green
Yeah he's very dear to me
•proved to everyone that Clapton wasn't all that when he was considered "god" and had an ego to match the label
•admirable lack of ego naming his band after his rythm section instead of himself when he wrote, sang and played lead guitar on everything
•gave a 17 year old a shot to weave guitars with him which panned out
•gave most of his songwriting royalties away to charity
•exquisite transition from blues purist to folky hippie to architect of classic rock to architect of esoteric soundscapes in 3 years flat
•looked like sexy jesus
Slick broski
They're right behind the Beatles, Kinks, Stones, and Who in the brit invasion ranking

man you go so hard on the musicians you have a personal bone to pick against
did he really prove it to everyone when barely anyone knows who Green is while Clapton kept dropping a bunch of platinum albums? if Green was the one who shattered Clapton's legend then Hendrix must have personally murdered him 10 times over or something
not knocking Green at all ofc its just we both know what happened to him once the 70s hit sadly
and i got no desire to check out Clapton's commercial peak stuff anytime soon :vom:
wait wtf, Peter Green released a decently regarded solo album in 1979 and its got the keyboardist from Camel on it?
gottta dl

Yes Hendrix did shatter him
it's known. Thats why he tried to bury himself in a The Band type outfit.
what you got going on broski ?
been working as an Amazon delivery driver for almost a month now bro. The heats been brutal

How you rank Mothers from Debut to Weasels/Burnt Weeny (can't remember which was after which)

i think youre talking about Blind Faith but Layla is better than Then Play On imho, and im still taking Clapton over Green for brit blues guitarists no matter how annoying his I Shot the Sheriff is or how mid his vocals are
Lol who?

How you rank Mothers from Debut to Weasels/Burnt Weeny (can't remember which was after which)
Weeny came before Weasels but both were taken from 67-69 Mothers material so theyre basically the same time
1. Burnt Weeny Sandwich
2. Freak Out!
3. Uncle Meat
4. We're Only In It for the Money
5. Weasels Ripped My Flesh
6. Absolutely Free
7. Cruising With Ruben and the Jets
and if we throw in the mothers-less 60s Zappa then Hot Rats is at #1 and Lumpy Gravy is below Absolutely Free

first 6 are the ones I have heard
very similar rankings

3. Uncle Meat
4. Absolutely Free

first 3 (ranking wise) are pretty hard to decide for me, then the next 3 are similarly close to each other
then he released the underrated Chunga's Revenge before entering the brief but terrible Flo and Eddie period
then resumed goatness immediately after

I hear that broski
I know Amazon works their employees hard too. What kind of van they gave you ? I seen some Mercedes ones around
S*** I might be looking for a new gig myself, had some words with my manager bout s*** smh.

I don't care if Clapton plays better cause I'm not a musian and I fell in love with Peter because of the overwhelming warmth and humanity (and sexiness) in his music. His aura is just
Clapton is a slick player but also a calculating opportunist and shallow racist b****** and it comes through in his music
he doesn't have any of those required melodic ballads that move me like my goats do. Weak tunesmith boring character.
