@Elric dam i wish i would've seen The Winning of Barbara Worth back when your "best films every year" was on 1926. I'm only a third of the way into it and i can already tell it's gonna be among my faves of that year (or even decade).
The sepia in this film is godly. The opening shot alone instantly grabbed my attention. And idk if this was recently restored or what, but the version available on CritChannel is top notch quality. Whoever's responsible for preserving this deserves a raise.

Yeah we had to keep them in an enclosed coop on the farm. Same with chickens... can't actually fly but can achieve pretty good liftoff.
