Do you like Syd's solo albums?

yeah theyre pretty great

Hot take. Syd Barret was better solo. Think their early stuff is too hit or miss for me which is usually the case for more unfocused experimental albums. But to be fair I haven’t heard that stuff since I was like 20. It’s been a while. Could be a crazy life changing experience to revisit lol

Blows my mind how how much time you let fly by in between listens to paradigm shifting masterpieces. Production Syd was blessed with for those first two Floyd albums is some absolute zenith I really don't think his solo stuff can compare to.

I liked when he was more stripped back and intimate

I mean I definitely f*** with The Madcap Laughs more than any of those early Floyd albums

But it's also been a while since I've listened to any of that stuff

We've been searching for a house for 7 weeks, and been outbid on 5 houses we loved. Just put in an offer on one of the best houses we've come across so far. Please lord give us this W. I cant take this house hunting s*** much longer

My favorite psych stuff leaned more into the baroque direction. I don’t recall that record really fitting in with the particular psych I was digging. I will revisit it soon and get back to you.

close but doors has slightly more x factor also compounded by the fact that i tripped on acid listening to it in the doors stomping ground area
