rvishe sounds amazing to me at this point and very distinct. better at expressing emotion than almost any pop singer, even the others i love like Madonna, Carly Rae etc. honestly since she's probably not technically an amazing vocalist her vocal personality is why I like her vocals so much. what vocalist do you think sounds like that? not even considering the slight country twang part still in her voice in that era which isn't exactly the most common thing for the mainstream pop star
just continue to seethe as her legacy (rightfully) rises in the eyes of the Rolling Stone type people

i dont mean anything bad by this ofc but i actually do wonder if its an age thing a little bit. for my age she was basically the pop star and i knew a bunch of her songs they played in the high school pep rallies and s*** and all the girls loved her like a big sister. i don't give a s*** about her lyrics or anything but when i listen to her i do feel like she shares my perspective in a way thats different from the dusty goats, hard to describe. i feel that with Charli XCX too
its like how maybe Billie Eilish is good and we're all missing out on here and her scale because we're too old (i peeped her album and it was garbage to me)

she's less zeitgeisty, less personal perspective (for me at least) and i feel like the ethereal quality is more "out of time" as much as i dislike that kind of language. feel like Grimes was always mature music for adults too where some of taylor's s*** was out when she was still a teenager and obviously the main market was teenage girls

i can accept that shes good but her album sounded so terrible to me that i just deleted it before a full digestion. ill try again in a few years. might be one of those things thats easier to appreciate after that fact than while its going on for me
