Edwards a comedy god to me. Like, if you have on joke that might appear a bit clicheed it's actually just a stepping stone until it reaches that hilarious climax. The Great Race is a wonderful example of that. It feels as if most of these jokes had been done before but he carefully constructs them so they actually do land extremely well in the long run.
