Guillermo has always been a lot more “elegant” than grimy since going full Hollywood with Pan’s Labyrinth
You seen The Shape of Water?

only attempted Pans Labrynth once when it came out and iirc i turned it off after buddy stoved dudes head with a bottle

I love Beach House. Haven’t kept up with their releases in years though.
the new one is worth ur time and I didn't even particularly like their last album.
beach house feels like its not this thread's thing, but their new album is stellar
as far as dream pop bands go, their songwriting is always some of the best. Teen Dream is just great

You watch Cronos, Devil’s Backbone or even Blade 2 and it feels like a different person did it

I only saw the last fight scene and it was entertaining enough I guess. The other 2 Godzilla movies were a big letdown.

Haven't got round to the last part yet but I really like what I've heard so far. I like everything they've done tbh

I waited and heard everything at once. It was a bit overwhelming at 84 mins, but I at least liked everything they tried on it.

I think the only albums close to that length from the last few years I’ve heard have been from Ye and Sufjan. I wonder if BH can bring the variety needed to hold my attention that entire time

They cover a lot of ground on it. It basically four different EPs connected together and doesnt feel disjointed, which is an achievement to itself
@HeyFella Nightmare Alley felt like it was gonna harken back to the mean and dirty Tod Browning/Lon Chaney carnival bangers but it just dragged on and didnt really hit with that ending
The book was p solid, that was that carnival noir I mentioned to you last year. Didn't know Del Toro did a remake until it was on HBO
Yo broski you ever seen this Jack Lemmon flick called Days of Wine and Roses ? Looks like a dusty clossic

it takes the right producer to get me into Spitta these days but he really needs to make that collabo with Styles P already
Yea this is his best project since The Outrunners
