Yeh haven’t seen Fleabag, but the fact they’re talking about how Bond is not modernized and that this franchise has never tackled his toxic masculinity before, which is just a blatant lie is worrying about how heavy handed those themes will be here

na i’ma trust that Phoebe won’t let it come out like that. i’m not even a Bond fan like that but just her name being attached makes me wanna see this one

That kicking scene was outright bad

My reason for calling it mediocre is that there is a valid reason to not outright dismiss it as the entire film is very obviously from the perspective of a dying old man and much of the film feels that way in terms of how most of his youth is mostly glossed over and even though it is evident his war experience largely shaped his later years, he only decides to talk about one experience about it in the film

So an old man remembering how he moved as a young man will be very skewed

    That’s exactly what it was

It’s his recollection of him beating a dude up in his younger days so the memory is skewed as to what an old person thinks he moved like when he was younger

That's a great excuse but I don't believe it without some receipts to back it up

    The whole movie imo

I was explaining that in my post that It’s very obvioussly meant to be his perspective

That’s why he dropping all these dudes names nobody care about anymore but act like they the biggest deal in the world and s***

like it ain’t just that scene, the entire movie breaths delusion from what he narrates to what particular scenes are shown.

I agree it's top 3 (along with Hateful 8 and Pulp) but I also wouldn't give it a 9, more like a 7. Think I'm just burnt out on Tarantino's style.

Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown are just alright

I cant even watch Kill Bill anymore. I saw some of it on TV the other day and was just annoyed the entire time. The sword fights in 1 and Pei Mei are still dope though.

Yeah I know you been hating on it for a while. I grew doing martial arts and watching Shaw Brothers, Sonny Chiba, Bruce Lee etc so it will always be his peak to me.

Just old enough to remember when Rez Dogs came out, it was an instant classic and will remain so

So did I. And the martial arts throwbacks are the best parts of it. I just hate the dialogue and most of the characters lol, especially Uma. I wish Gogo won that fight.
