Pretty sure that’s when they actually started taking CTE seriously. Didn’t the helmet to helmet penalty stem from that

@drjdeponytail @Koala This gotta be one of the weirdest MVP races in quite a few years. With all the injuries and Covid protocols, it looked like Curry was easily the frontrunner early season, but he's in a massive slump. I don't think Ja Morant or Derozan will win despite team success cause I don't think voters view them as top 3 players. KD's injury hindered him from contention now. Nugges and Lakers are mid so Jokic and Bron are out. I really think this may go between Embiid and Giannis depending on team record. The voting ballots will be wild imo.
Even with the slump I think they’ll give it to Curry as long as the Warriors finish a top 3 seed.

Yea I think they still give it to Curry, him breaking that 3 point record was the story of the year so far and his team is still top 3. Ja is a nice but he doesn't have the star power for an MVP, maybe Giannis or Embiid for runner up but it doesn't feel like their year.

Would be kinda weird to see Curry win MVP in his weakest year since before he was an all star
