Mark Hollis solo album was nice. Kind of just a stripped back sequel to Laughing Stock.

Caught back up with TT and finally listened to Laughing Stock today pretty nice

Still think it's absurd that people think if you like Godspeed or Swans you should inherently like late period TT different worlds even if same genre

"Tommy was producing those alien sounds mostly with his voice. It's a bit of a distinction, in my mind, and gives Tommy more credit for the sound. It's totally bizarre, and not simply a "jug" sound.

There are some raw live mixes, like the La Maison Club recordings, that have Tommy higher in the mix. It's pretty wild to focus on what he's doing. Holding an instrument allows him to blend-in as musician, I suppose. I can't find the quote, but I have read statements from band members saying he could have held a cardboard box and basically made the same sounds. It was mostly a prop. There are also some live photos of him holding a microphone alone, sans jug."

so hes pretty much just a secondary vocalist making weird sounds nonstop

that's unreal lol. makes it even cooler

Season 4-7 is one of the strongest streaks I’ve seen in anything. Over 90 episodes of straight fire. If that was the entire show, I’d be even more opinionated. But 1-3 and 8/9 aren’t terrible which is why I picked that show. This is just my opinion tho.

We get this at least once a year for like a week straight and sometimes, if we're lucky, it'll go on for a couple weeks
