Everything in it sort of felt like a dream to me as it kept changing the way we perceive the same scenes depending on who’s perspective it was so weird s*** like that sort of just worked for me. But I’d say it was definitely on the line of taking me out of it lol.

havent heard that group 1850 debut yet, only their 2nd one (which is tymeshifter's #1 album oat). which i thought was their debut actually
Art is good, they are really the same band as Spooky Tooth and just changed their name and removed all psych. vocals turned me off at first for some reason
listened to Ill Wind like last week, seems nice

Love the jams off MH like Peace Frog, Land Ho and Queen of the Highway. Even that lighter/psych of The Spy
btw listening to Easter Everywhere for the first time. Does someone play the Jug or do you just turn it on and let it do its thing

Title track top 5 songs from them for sure.
edit: actually more like top ten. Too many classics off the first two

"Tommy was producing those alien sounds mostly with his voice. It's a bit of a distinction, in my mind, and gives Tommy more credit for the sound. It's totally bizarre, and not simply a "jug" sound.
There are some raw live mixes, like the La Maison Club recordings, that have Tommy higher in the mix. It's pretty wild to focus on what he's doing. Holding an instrument allows him to blend-in as musician, I suppose. I can't find the quote, but I have read statements from band members saying he could have held a cardboard box and basically made the same sounds. It was mostly a prop. There are also some live photos of him holding a microphone alone, sans jug."
so hes pretty much just a secondary vocalist making weird sounds nonstop
