Feel like the only dude who’s never found Natalie Portman attractive. She has a generic “pretty” face but doesn’t have much else going on. I think Attack of The Clones was the only time I was like “I guess I kinda get it”.
I heard the album and it was alright but I thought this song was cool

lmfao wtf???
give it 20 more listens over the next 7 years and i bet you’ll love it
Pull up a highlight for me
Fixed
Exile and Ladyland a tie cause Hendrix hiynthe greatest heights there are but the stones made one of the most swampiest soups of an album there is as well
if exile was a soup it would be gumbo

youre trolling me putting elton above mothers
and that daydream nation placement
Is this all of them?
no
missing your despised Layla, jazz and progressive/kraut albums, Something/Anything, Stevie, Marvin, Metal Box, Trout Mask, English Settlement . and im assuming youre not including canonical live albums in this cuz thats a lot more too
kinda surprised to see the wall that high also tbh
watched the Keith Harnandez episode last night for the first time since like the 90s
iconic
Had to check my watch
double episode
I watched that on my lunch break today
I heard the album and it was alright but I thought this song was cool
!https://youtu.be/bUD8pzLDbigPop masterpiece to me but I feel ya. It’s not for everybody. Weirdly enough that’s my least favorite on the album. Still great but a bit repetitive.
Heaven Is A Secret and Gold my jams.
also the underrated psych double album Almendra II

Duane's on Layla I can't despise it
But yeah trying to rank the rest of those would be pointless for me.
The Wall is probably my mum's favorite album so it was my childhood
better than dad's f***in prog

I cannot exaggerate how much I have been not enjoying my Freak Out revisits
Trouble Every Day a few other good songs don't make up for the rest that make me want to self harm
Daydream Nation only has one or two highlights for me

I don't think it was accidental I think it was parody. Yeah it sounds cool but there's just something about the way Zappa lays across his lyrics and his melodies that is just ugly and annoying to me.
I don't feel the spirit of his art at all. Clever but too cynical and outright smartass.
should've got Beefheart to sing it all
can't even fathom that, took me so long to get into that album the first listen was just pointless noise at first it felt like

Freak Out was recorded in March 1966, which psych do you think he was already parodying by then?
eight miles high single wasnt even out yet. and you gotta admit the avant garde tracks are accidental psych, imagine showing them to some kid in 1966 tripping balls, he'd feel the psychedelia
i also hope youre realizing that FZ is not the lead singer on the album btw
cant wait to force some of his truly ugly and annoying stuff upon you as we reach his nadir in 1971
one of the rare examples of an artist releasing absolute garbage within their actual peak somehow. Bowie's Pin Ups might be a good comparison but I havent even heard that and I'm almost certain its not even that bad comparatively

The Sprawl took me places man
apparently places you can only go once
just jumped on KTT1 for the hell of it and it looks like they completely renovated the site

what do you mean lyrics
its a very wordy album
the underground hippie scene was well underway by '66
the Fugs and that type of thing
i didnt say the way he sang i said the way he lays them across
doesn't matter who's singing. ugly melodies. intentionally probably but still.
i gave more of his albums a further marination than you think, made it passed Weasles Ripped My Flesh but not much. S*** is not for me. If you aren't gonna be offended by my reactions than by all means keep trying as we go through the years
