I'm not actually sour you're just really sensitivo lately
Maybe cause I am??? Like bro you're always throwing backhands for no reason and I get pretty easily agitated but literally nobody thinks of that as a symptom of depression when it's by far the biggest trait for me. Can't you just accept the prairie giant for who he is. Things get to me. That's how I am.
most of it is probably full of shonen anyway which i don’t really care for these days

Do you ever notice the compliments I pay you
or just misconstrue the "backhands"? Anyways sorry Nathan sheesh

Such as
Season 4 the zenith of the show. How would you rank them so far? For me it's 4>2=1>3>>5. I'm not even sure if I'm comfortable putting 3 below 1 and 2. They all sit among the all time seasons of television and then they messed around and made the greatest season of television ever in s4.
Yeah this is exactly my ranking I reckon
They hit more emotionally in the morning tbh
I can do a laid back flick in the morning if I'm hungover or something, but generally I reckon you gotta be a psychopath to just chuck a film on at 10am

Earlier
I can't get my brain in to film mode at that time, it's gotta be morning cooking shows or something
Ouch
just finished the marble episode. I'll say that was probably the best episode so far.

That's such a good episode, some real emotional heft
Just stayed at an old university friend's new house in London. Her and her partner spent half a million pounds on this place and it's f***ing tiny. This city is broken
Ngl knife talk made me want to check out some 21 savage
And project pat whom I know has been around
You haven’t heard I am > I was? That and savage mode 2 are great
Going through Joy Division and New Order discography again and I think I kinda like Unknown Pleasures slightly more than Closer. I used to think Closer was just significantly better but I think that was more off the strength or the last couple tracks. Unknown Pleasures doesn’t have as high of highs but it’s more consistent. Also Movement grew on me as a really cool transitional record. Feels like it’s got one foot in both bands pools.
The running joke about them for over two decades has been all the members are either rapists, closeted gays, or just lame nerds
3 decades. Read Paglia’s writing on campus hysteria of the 90’s.
Yeah but I don't like tv in general cuz i'm a pretentious film snob. Only watching cuz people won't shut up about it.
It's entertaining I guess
Episode 6 hit me harder emotionally than a lot of things lately.
Neon genesis Evangelion
Just started that today. Bought the new box set.
Yee... felt like just some occasional weird s*** but it feels like every episode has some weird s*** now.
If you read up on the cultural reasoning for their different attitudes towards that kinda stuff it’s surprisingly way less creepy. It just becomes charming.
Edit: also sorry for blowing up the thread. didn’t realize I posted this much.

Yeah Closer is more refined
but Unknown Pleasures has that primal energy still intact
and imo has higher highs with New Dawn Fades which is just a personal favorite song of all time so

Half a dozen posts in a row, classic dylankubrick move

That’s my favorite on that album. I just think The Eternal is slightly better on Closer.

Decades is the one for me. "Here are the young men, the weight on their shoulders"

Lol that’s my second favorite on Closer. Almost sort of hints sonically at where they’d go after that with New Order slightly.
