Hey broski so after a holiday weekend of pain it turned out I had a large deep abscess in my upper thigh that had to be cut and drained. Now I'm on antibiotics for staph/mrsa for 2 weeks and wound care..

Comparing De Palma to Leni was off the bat a sign of intellectual ineptitude. Calling Carrie a parody of a well made film might as well be a parody of film criticism. Good writer, bad writing.

Dressed To Kill imo De Palma's visually most astonishing film. Sure, the transphobic subtext is despicable but I can't deny that the film has tons of great misa-en-scène and direction in general. A full on Giallo but made outside of Italy.
Scarface is good but he made better films. Especially in the 80s.

Family no offense but you're the king of juvenile takes wrapped in sophisticated wording and that's why I'm showing it to you. He's a very good writer that just has wild takes. I disagree with plenty of his write-ups but some of them have been life-changing cause I got this book when I was like 20.
